Prof. Govind Singh Bhardwaj is contributing the society by his nature-friendly, geo-friendly and geo-social approaches for problem solving and constructive purposes in applied and basic research in his field. His creative and innovative ideas and inputs of expertise are certainly a landmark contribution towards safe guarding the mother earth and society.
Babak Farjad is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary. His work involves developing a hydrological modelling system to evaluate and predict the impacts of climate change and human activities on hydrology of the Lower Athabasca River basin in Alberta, Canada. His PhD research was developing a modelling framework to investigate the impact of climate and land-use/cover change on hydrological processes in the Elbow River watershed in southern Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Salem is currently an Associate Professor of RS and GIS. He holds: PhD (2000) in RSGIS /University of Leicester (UK); “Diplôme d’ingènieur” (1984) in Geomatics Engineering /ENSG (France); and DEUG (1980) in Maths-Physics/University of Rennes (France). Supervised/co-supervised more than 10 theses, 20 Capstones. Implemented over 12 research projects since 1996. Has added more than 40 publications to his name. Won 10 honoured awards, including the First Prize award for the best Arab universities research (2004) and the Second UAE UGSRC prize (2014).
Dr. Hari Mohan Srivastava is currently working as a “Professor Emeritus” at the University of Victoria in Canada. Having received several D.Sc. (honoris causa) degrees as well as honorary memberships and honorary fellowships of many scientific academies and learned societies around the world. He has published 27 books, 45 papers in international conference proceedings, and more than 1,100 scientific research articles. He is a Clarivate Analytics [Thomson-Reuters] (Web of Science) Highly Cited Researcher.
Dr. G P Karmakar working as Visiting Professor in Petroleum Engineering in the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is recipient of UNESCO Scholarship Romania, DAAD Fellowship Germany, British Commonwealth Fellowship London, DAAD Fellowship Germany. He is actively engaged in research in the area of Enhanced Oil Recovery using Polymers, Oilfield Waste Treatment using Polymers. He has published more than 83 research papers. Dr. Hedayat Omidvar has been working since 1992 as Natural Gas consumption expert in Corporate Planning Dept., National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), responsible for treatment, transmission, storage and distribution of natural gas. At present, he is Head of Communication Affairs with Science & Research Centers, Research & Technology Dept. Dr. Atef Abdullah Abdelhady is Acting Head of Petroleum Department the British University in Egypt. He has 35 years of production operation from reservoir to surface activities. An Society Petroleum Engineering, SPE, active member. Authored several technical papers in Egypt and USA. He has been selected as a qualified candidate for inclusion in the 1998 edition of International Who’s Who Membership. He has training skills and experience inside and outside Egypt.
Dr. Yousef Nazzal presently the Chair Professor, Zayed University in UAE. Experienced in research related to site assessment and remediation, environmental and hydrology (especially landfills), hydrochemistry, waste water treatment and geochemistry. Successfully obtained several grants from IDRC (Canada), EPA (USA), EU, Higher Council for Science and Technology/Jordan, UNESCO used in capacity building, public awareness, and environmental solving issues. Over 105 environmental research papers published in well reputed & ISI international journals.
Dr. Maithili Sharan working as a “Professor Emeritus” in the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His research interests include atmospheric dispersion modeling, inverse modeling, and atmospheric boundary layer. He was a recipient of several honors and awards such as the S.S Bhatnagar Prize, the INSA Young Scientist Award, the Meghanad Shah Award, and the J. C. Bose National Fellowship. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, as a member of the Johns Hopkins Society of Scholars.
Dr. Nagesh Kumar is a Professor in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He is also Chairman, Centre for Earth Sciences, Associate Faculty in the Interdisciplinary Centre for Water Research and Divecha Centre for Climate Change of IISc. His research interests include Climate Hydrology, Water Resources Systems, Remote Sensing & GIS applications in Water Resources Engineering. He has published more than 190 papers in leading international journals. He is a member of the AGU, IAHR, ASCE, IAHS (UK), IS-MCDM (USA) and Indian Society of Remote Sensing.
Dr. Mike has over 15 years’ experience as a geologist. He worked in both Irish and British civil services where he was involved in shallow seabed mapping, GIS and software development. Mike’s experience with SRK includes projects in Australia and overseas (Indonesia, Lao, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tanzania, Congo, Liberia and Malaysia), and on a variety of commodities including graphite, gold, uranium, iron and potash. Mike has also completed numerous Independent Geologist’s Reports, due diligence, valuation studies, and is a well-accomplished project manager.
Dr. Zakaria Hamimi is a Professor in the Benha University, Egypt. His research interests focus on Structural Geology, Microstructures and Tectonics. He is the president, and one of the founding team, of the Arabian Geosciences Union. He has received the medal of the Egyptian Geological Society of Egypt, and also the medal of the Arab Mining and Petroleum Association. He has co-published 50 research articles and authored several books. He nominated as a Secretary of the National Committee for Geological Sciences, and designated as the IUGS-Representative for Egypt.
Dr. C A Babu is a Professor at Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has published more than 80 peer reviewed publications, 3 books and 1 book chapter in addition to a number of conference contributions. He is actively involved in research to unravel various aspects natural phenomena that affect the society in the tropical region. He has administrative experience as the Head, and the Director. Received Visiting Senior Research Fellowship of the University of Malaya. His research interests include Monsoon boundary layer characteristics, atmospheric thermodynamics.
Dr. Ashok Tejankar has been working as a Pro Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambekdar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He has completed different projects by using modern technologies like GIS, Remote sensing , VES Resistivity survey based tools and Geohydrological study for successful watershed development programme. From past 20 years, He has shared his knowledge & provided services to various agencies for planning effective watershed management programs. He has published 8 books and more than 67 research papers.
Dr. Pawan Kumar ‘Bharti’ Chauhan has more than 10 years of research experience in Limnology, Water pollution, EIA & Antarctic Environment. He has written/edited more than 80 Books, > 100 articles in national/ international journals, proceedings/ compendium, newsletters and books and 4 patents on his credit. He has received ASEA Fellow Award, Vigyan Kavya Ratna, Haridwar Kavya Ratna, Bharat Excellence Award, ANSF Fellow Award, Best Research Award and few other awards. Dr. Rifaat Abdalla is currently an Associate Professor. He is specialized in GeoInformatics with focus on WebGIS and Remote Sensing Applications for Disaster Management. He is a Certified GIS Professional (GISP) and Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) from Ontario, Canada. His research interests include Hydrography and Marine Applications for GIS; Modeling and Simulation; Mobile Handheld GIS Visualization; and Disaster Management and Emergency Response Mapping. He is a recipient of several prestigious international awards, including the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) PE&RS Best Scientific Paper by ESRI.
